Jess and Devin’s wedding reception, featured by Atlanta Style Weddings, was nothing short of extraordinary — an immersive blend of art, nature, and celebration. From the moment guests stepped into the reception space, they were enveloped in a lush, indoor garden with a modern twist. Set inside Atlanta’s Summerour Studio, the space was transformed into a moody, moss-drenched dream with botanical floral installations, luxe textures, and a sense of organic wonder woven into every detail. Take a closer look at some of the design elements that set the scene for this one-of-a-kind soirée.
Floor-to-ceiling hunter green drapery framed the interior perimeter of the reception space, cascading in elegant curves to create a sense of intimacy and drama. Each draped portal functioned as a threshold, inviting guests to transition between dinner, dancing, and cocktails while maintaining a cohesive visual experience.
The floral design by Rhapsody in Blooms blurred the line between installation and natural growth. Centerpieces weren’t confined to vessels — they appeared to grow directly from the tables, by using mounds of moss, sculptural driftwood, and rare blooms that evoked a modern woodland. Some arrangements spilled from the ground, while others reached upward — evoking the feeling of a forest mid-bloom. The mix of floral arrangements allowed for variation in design while staying rooted in a shared aesthetic: earthy yet intentional, wild but refined.
Each table told its own story. Velvet linens in deep emerald and chartreuse set the tone, layered with smoke-hued glassware, matte black flatware, and custom menu cards in modern hues. The head table, left linen-free, featured a continuous botanical runner that mimicked the ceremony aisle, surrounded on either end by repurposed chuppah elements for continuity. From charger to candlelight, every detail was curated to create a seamless, sensory dining experience.
One of the standout features of the reception design were the lounges flanking the dance floor, bringing a residential feel to the space — complete with cane-back sofas, velvet pillows. The vintage-style velvet stools were a cornerstone of the design and a key element incorporating the color story into the reception space. Covered in greenery and blooms, the couple’s martini bar and accompanying escort display served as both a statement piece and an invitation to indulge.
Above the dance floor, an extraordinary installation of hanging moss and florals created a canopy that felt enchanting. Its freeform shape mirrored the natural aesthetic throughout the room, casting a soft, romantic glow over the evening’s festivities.
Jess and Devin’s wedding was more than a beautiful event — it was a fully immersive experience. Every design decision, from the drapery to the driftwood, was rooted in intention. The result was a celebration that felt deeply personal, boldly creative, and endlessly inspiring. With the Drake Social team at the helm, the evening unfolded like a living work of art — layered, expressive, and unlike anything else.
